A great night at Killie, with a very close KO.
An Image by former Irvine member Eric Gordon won it with his great shot of a Tiger's head, with Sandra King's "Rivetting..." runner up in 2nd. Also in the last four was Ian Mortimer's "Kestrel", and we had a very good showing from new member Nimrod Asbury, with his excellent shot of "Ferdinand the Frog" - which narrowly got knocked out in the final eight by the eventual overall winner!
All in all, a very good night of images, with comments from our side made by new member Bob Wark.
Many thanks to our hosts Killie PC for a great comp, buffet and raffle, and making us most welcome.
This was my first competition and I was really chuffed to get so far, thanks to Killie for a great night.
Also, thanks to more experienced photographers in the club for their advice, I'm really enjoying being part of the club.
Well done Nimrod. Great to see different members being successful.
