Hopefully the weather will look promising for a great event again this year. Very popular with members in 2018 & 2019. Saturday evening is often best for viewing balloons and the night glow (9pm-ish). Parking in Strathaven can be difficult so best to share transport if you can. If the weather looks ok Saturday afternoon will be the best time to try and go - please add a comment on here indicating if/when you plan to go up (or FB if you prefer!).

Please submit a shot for each of these themes to the website upload, but also please do have a go at entering the competition...

A walk around the town centre and harbour area.  Our sights will take in Greenock Customhouse (good architectural shots), Ginger the carthorse (Andy Scott sculpture), Cathcart Square for more architecture, finishing at the harbour, marina and sugar warehouse where hopefully we have a sunsetty sort of blue hour.   Parking first around the Customhouse.   We will be meeting at Beacon Arts Centre, PA15 1HJ at 7:15 for 7:30 start

John, a passionate Canon photographer from Barrhead, will be talking us through a selection of his images. Along with a broad photography background he's very into his motorcycle sport  and more recently, under COVID restrictions, has focused on aviation. He's really enthused to be visiting us.
