This walk combines the charm & historical buildings of Stewarton town with the tranquility & of Lainshaw Woods. You’ll explore & historical buildings, and winding woodland paths full of photographic opportunities.
Meeting Point: Stewarton Railway Station Car park KA3 5BD or park on streets nearby, Which is just up from Stewarton Cross & town centre
Start in Stewarton town centre. Capture:
Street scenes, Historic buildings, including the Townhouse (1812), Lainshaw House & Railway Viaduct & Cemetary
St. Columba’s Church
Cunninghame Watt park KA3 5EA
Annick Water & Lainshow woods (Inc lainshaw House - Now flats)

It is 10 mins walk to Lainshaw Woods , (or alternatively move the car & park the car on David Dale avenue)
St Columba’s church is half way between Town centre (Cross) & Lainshaw Woods

Follow the signed path from David Dale Avenue Through the woods & along the Annick water after about 3/4 mile climb the steps to the upper portion of Lainshaw woods walk (Mainly beech woods)
Lainshaw is a mix of old estate woodland and natural regeneration. & Lainshaw house Now flats
To avoid the steps for the less mobile there is parking for 2 cars at the water works KA3 3AP
