As the evening’s draw in, we approach the end of our Summer Season at Irvine Camera Club and start to look forward to our Autumn season of talks, competitions and practical evenings.

But we are not quite there yet and with this in mind we headed off to Largs where we met up with some members from Largs Camera Club and headed out for a walk from the marina up to the ferry port.  The last week before schools were going back, it was busy with people all enjoying a beautiful sunny evening.

There was so much to see, from the yachts, kayaks and boats heading out onto the water, the landscape of the town with moor behind, the islands, the famous pencil statue and of course the people we met and chatted to along the way.  Then just when things couldn’t get any better ‘The Waverley’ paddle steamer went past adding to an already incredible sunset and then we were treated to dolphins playing.

It was a perfect evening and one of those rare occasions when everything came together better than planned.  These images show some of what we saw and were captured by members of Irvine Camera Club.

The Autumn seasons starts this week, meeting on Tuesdays starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL

If you would like to come along you will be made to feel very welcome.
