It has become a tradition at Irvine Camera Club that we have our annual celebratory meal between Christmas and New Year.   Saltcoats has become our destination of choice, largely due to the fantastic food and service that we get at the Motherland Spice Indian restaurant.  To boost our appetites for the feast to come we first go for a bracing photo walk.  This year was no different.  Miraculously the rain largely stayed off.  The wind was blowing a hoolie but that was exactly what some of our more intrepid photographers were looking for as they braved the seafront.  The rest of us retreated to the relative calm of the town streets.   As the light began to fade, a total of 28 club members arrived at the restaurant for much needed refreshment and sustenance.   An afternoon of good photography, good food and great company – what more could you wish for to brighten up the slow days between Christmas and New Year?

If you would like to come and see what we are up to this week, we meet on Tuesdays starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
