This week I have been looking through the images that were entered in our annual panel competition and what strikes me is how diverse the photographic skills are within Irvine Camera Club. The diversity of interests within the club allows anyone with an interest in photography to come along, make friends and find people with similar interests or to be inspired to try new things.
This year we have seen how members have been inspiring each other and challenging each other to produce more consistent work. While competitions are a part of every camera club and provide a focus and a challenge for members whilst also providing feedback, advice and support, there is so much more to our club and with our indoor season coming to an end in the next few weeks, I am looking forward to our busy summer schedule of weekly photo-walks and trips further afield to see what we can find.
If you would like to come and see what we are up to this week, we meet on Tuesdays starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
Our full programme of talks, events and competitions that take place throughout the year can be found on our website: https://irvinecc.co.uk/programme
